Knights of Columbus St. Cecilia's Council #7046

Named for the parish in which it was originally founded, the Council celebrates 40+ years of supporting St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church and the surrounding area of South Brunswick, New Jersey. Through a variety of charity services including food drives, our Annual Citizens with Special Needs Drive, and outreach programs in support of physical and mental help, we have aided those in time of need and offered the care and support needed. We welcome all Catholic gentlemen who wish to become part of our organization. For more information on becoming a member of our Council, please visit our Membership page.

Knights of Columbus History

On February 22, 1978, the Knights of Columbus Council # 7046 of St. Cecilia's Church was established. That same evening, thirty-five men took their first degree. A degree team from St. James Council of Jamesburg performed the ceremony. To reach this milestone took almost four months of tireless effort by District Deputy Charles Bohinski and his team, along with the blessings of then Pastor Fr. Louis Stingel. In the Business Meeting that followed the first degree, most of the key Officers positions were filled. Edward N. Dale was chosen to be our first Grand Knight. Michael Telker was chosen as Deputy Grand Knight. The first Chaplain for the Council was Fr. Michael Kennedy, C.M. of St. Joseph Seminary, Plainsboro, NJ.
