Mission
Our mission is to refocus Catholic men on Jesus Christ and to bring Christ to a broken world. To live this
mission, he needs a strong relationship with God through prayer, ongoing faith formation, and a brotherhood that
supports him as a holy man, husband, father, son, and friend.
Through our gatherings, men become committed disciples of Jesus, ready to serve Him and share His truth in a world
that urgently needs Him.
Goals
Gather regularly so men can center their lives and friendships on Christ through prayer and formation.
Foster a fraternal culture that offers ongoing opportunities to encounter Jesus, grow in faith, deepen prayer,
and form Christ-centered friendships.
Strengthen authentic brotherhood where men accompany and challenge one another in the pursuit of holiness.
Build a foundation for continued evangelization and discipleship in the parish and community.
Core Values
Each gathering offers a welcoming space to meet other men of the parish.
We are committed to confidentiality, creating a safe space where what is shared stays within the group.
We value authenticity by choosing honesty and openness, respecting one another by communicating with grace
and honoring each man’s unique journey.
We strive to speak with positivity and encouragement while fostering a welcoming spirit by making room for others.
Participation in discussions is always optional.
The World Needs Courageous Men to Witness Jesus Christ
In a world marked by distraction and isolation, Cor calls men back to what they were created for: a deep relationship
with God and authentic brotherhood with one another. From the beginning of his ministry, Jesus formed men in
community—walking with them, teaching them the Truth, and sending them out together on mission. Cor continues
that model today.
A Brotherhood Rooted in Christ
Through Cor, men grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ. Walking side by side in faith, they support one
another through life’s challenges, grow in holiness, and are strengthened to live out their vocation as sons
of God.
Faith Lived Boldly
Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Cor helps Catholic men live their faith in service to their families,
parish, and community. Families need strong husbands, fathers, sons, and brothers, and the world needs
courageous witnesses to Jesus Christ. Cor forms men to lead with faith, integrity, and purpose.
Formation, Prayer, and Fraternity
Every Catholic man is called to bring Christ to a wounded world. Cor supports this mission through:
- • Prayer and the sacraments
- • Ongoing faith formation
- • Strong, authentic brotherhood
Each Cor gathering is designed to help men encounter Christ, grow in virtue, and be equipped for evangelization in daily life.
More Than a Men’s Group
Cor reflects the way Jesus formed his disciples—through relationship, formation, and mission. In addition to this Ministry,
the Knights of Columbus offers meaningful opportunities for men to put faith into action through charitable service,
becoming living witnesses of Christ’s love.
What is COR Like?
- • Flexible: Each gathering follows a flexible framework of prayer, formation and fraternity. The content, order and
length of each part are tailored to what works best for the group.
- • Consistent: Cor is held on the second Tuesday of each month for 60-90 minutes.
- • Intentional: Christ-centered brotherhood doesn’t just happen. It requires intentional structure, commitment and time to build trust, respect and support.
All men are welcome. Come walk with us.
Cor is collaborative and open to all men of the parish and is not meant to replace existing ministries,
but to strengthen and complement them. We are proud to sponsor and serve as the Men’s Ministry of St. Cecilia Parish,
helping men grow in holiness and respond together to God’s call to leadership and mission.
